So you woke up on the wrong side of the bed in a bad mood! The last thing you feel like doing is getting up and facing the world. It happens to the best of us. Here are five simple tips to turn your day around before even getting up.
1. Own It And Breathe
We all have days when we wake up and feel average.
One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself, is to honour how you feel. For a few moments acknowledge your negative feelings and then give yourself permission to let it go. Use your breathe to help you to let go of these unhelpful feelings.
Breathe in for four counts. Focus on breathing in joy, possibility and love. Hold your breathe for two counts. Exhale for four counts, letting go of all your negative thoughts.
2. Be Grateful
For Life Give thanks that you actually woke up!
Life is such a precious gift and in the hustle and bustle of our lives we often forget this.
Take a moment to reflect on how lucky you are to be alive.
Life isn’t normally as serious as the mind makes it out to be, think of something that makes you happy and smile.
When we smile, the muscles in our face send signals to our brain that help us feel good.
If you need to, fake it to you make it!
4. Turn Up The Tunes
Music has a wonderful ability to instantly uplift your mood. So why not chase those blues away right now and go find your favourite songs or playlist and turn it up!

5. Sniff an Oil
Essential oils provide you with a wonderful way to instantly shift your perspective and boost your mood.
Take the lid off your favourite happy oil and take a big sniff!
